Returns and Exchanges
Customer satisfaction is our goal.
Please send items to be returned to Jack L. Marcus, Inc. with a copy of the receipt from your order. We recommend shipping via UPS so that packages can be traced. We will gladly accept returns for refund or exchange within 60 days of purchase.

Shipping charges are not refundable. Returned merchandise must be in its original condition. Engraved, soiled, worn, laundered or damaged merchandise will not be accepted for return and will be reshipped at the inmate’s expense. We cannot accept merchandise for return or exchange after 60 days. Returns after 60 days will be held until payment arrangements have been made to return the merchandise to you. We will only hold merchandise for 60 days, and then it will be destroyed.
Upon receipt of the returned merchandise, we will issue a refund to the original buyer of the merchandise either by check, PayPal or credit card credit depending on the original form of payment. If you have chosen to exchange the merchandise, we will reship to you free of charge one time per order.
Because Jack L. Marcus, Inc. strives to offer the lowest possible prices for our merchandise and does not charge a shipping fee, we can only accept merchandise for return or exchange that has been shipped prepaid. If the merchandise is found to be defective or has been shipped to you in error, please contact our customer service department and we will either reimburse you for reasonable UPS shipping charges or issue a call tag for UPS to pick up the merchandise. Please note that if merchandise returned on a call tag is found not to be defective, return freight charges will be deducted from the refund or added to the expense of returning the merchandise back to you.
Returns of 10 or more items may result in a 15% restocking fee.
Special Note Regarding Engraved Items: We cannot accept for return or exchange any item that has been engraved. If the item is defective and has been engraved, please send it back along with a detailed explanation of the defect. Upon receipt, the merchandise will be tested. If it is found to be defective, we will either issue a refund, exchange or proceed according to the warranty policy. If it is not found to be defective, we will contact you to arrange for payment to return the merchandise to you. We will hold merchandise for 60 days after which it will be destroyed. Please note that if any merchandise is returned on a call tag and is found not to be defective, return freight charges will be deducted from any refund or added to the expense of shipping the merchandise back to you.
RCA Warranty Policy for 13” LCD Flat Screen styles L1325S, L1325 (4520R and 4521R) and DLTK135R (4579R) purchased from JACK L. MARCUS, INC.: These styles have a 180 day parts and labor warranty, as stated in the information booklet supplied with the TV. All TV’s purchased from Jack L. Marcus, Inc. and returned under the warranty must be sent to Jack L. Marcus, Inc., NOT RCA. All TV’s returned to us for warranty service will be inspected to determine the type of defect involved. This warranty will be VOIDED if the defect was caused by tampering, misuse or mishandling. Otherwise, defective TV’s will be replaced by Jack L. Marcus, Inc. with a new set if returned within 180 days from the date of original purchase.
If the defective TV is returned after 180 days but within 1 year of original purchase, we will replace the TV if it is returned along with a $90 money order or facility check made payable to JACK L. MARCUS INC. The $90 fee is to cover the estimated out of warranty repair costs. The set is not warranted after 180 days. This fee is subject to change. If the TV is returned after the 180 days, but within 1 year of original purchase without the $90 payment, the TV will be held until the payment is received. TV’s held longer than six months without payment, will be considered abandoned and will be destroyed. After one year from the original date of purchase, TV’s cannot be returned.

Clear Tech CT TV L8 & L13 Warranty Information: Jack L. Marcus, Inc. will accept the product for return or refund if it is defective when initially received by the purchaser. Beyond that the Clear Tech® warranty takes over. Beginning on the date the television is sold, there is a 60 day warranty period during which any manufacturing defect will be covered by warranty. In the event of malfunction, the purchaser must send the television to the repair center:

at the purchaser’s expense, along with a note listing their name, facility address, ID # and a description of the problem. The purchaser will also need to send documentation showing the date of purchase. The television will be repaired or replaced provided that the defect was a manufacturing defect. The unit will be shipped back to the purchaser at the repair facility’s expense.
If the malfunction or problem is determined to have been caused by misuse, abuse, or mishandling of the item, the purchaser will be notified that the defect is not covered under warranty and given a price quote on how much the repair will cost, plus a quote for return shipping.
After the 60 day warranty period has elapsed, the purchaser may have the television repaired by Clear Tech® if required. The purchaser will need to send the television back to the repair center along with a description of the problem. The purchaser will then receive a quotation from the repair center by mail, detailing the cost of parts and labor for the repair, plus shipping. Upon receiving payment, Clear Tech® will make the repair and ship the television to the purchaser.
Hiteker® LIMITED WARRANTY Policy for TL1237W-TP (4558) and TL1337W-TP (4593)
This product is warranted by Hiteker to the original purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship encountered in the normal noncommercial use of this product for a limited warranty period of:
90 days Limited Warranty
This limited warranty begins on the original date of purchase, and is valid only on products purchased and used in the United States.
- LABOR: During the three months labor limited warranty period, Hiteker will, at its option, repair the defective product at no cost to you, or replace the defective product with a new or remanufactured functionally equivalent product of equal value.
- PARTS: During the three months parts limited warranty period, Hiteker will supply new or rebuilt replacements for defective parts as may be deemed necessary.
- This Warranty DOES NOT APPLY to products that have been damaged due to abuse, misuse, accident, alteration, modification, negligence, line power surges, connection to improper voltage supply or settings, acts of God and tampering or products that have been serviced by any unauthorized service center or third party.
- In order to have your television repaired or replaced under warranty, you must return the TV to the location where the product was purchased. Send the unit pre-paid in the original box or reasonable substitute to prevent damage during transportation. You “Must” include your full name, shipping address and telephone number (if available) for our reference with proof of purchase. Be sure to provide your street address, as we cannot ship to a P.O. Box. Hiteker USA, Inc., will not be responsible for delays or unprocessed claims resulting from a purchaser’s failure to provide any or all of the necessary information. It will take approximately 3 to 4 weeks to process, from the date of receipt. All of the accessories that came with the product package must be sent with the main unit.

EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES IN CONNECTION WITH THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY HEREIN, AND NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING SAID WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, SHALL APPLY TO THIS PRODUCT AFTER SAID PERIOD. SHOULD THIS PRODUCT PROVE TO BE DEFECTIVE IN WORKMANSHIP OR MATERIAL, THE CONSUMER’S SOLE REMEDY SHALL BE SUCH REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS IN HEREIN ABOVE EXPRESSLY PROVIDED, AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE, DIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL ARISING OUT OF THE USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT. THIS WARRANTY IS NONTRANSFERABLE.
Some states do not allow the exclusion and limitation of incidental or consequential damage, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions or inclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal right and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
Sales tax is only charged for merchandise orders shipped to Wisconsin according to current state and local tax rates. Sales tax will automatically be added for online and phoned in orders. For faxed or mailed in orders, please consult the sales tax section of your order form and apply the appropriate rate. Sales tax, where applicable, will be refunded for returned items.
Discontinued or Out of Stock Items
If an item has been discontinued or is out of stock, we will backorder the item if possible. If backorders are not allowed, we will issue a store credit to be used towards a future purchase and notify you by mail. If store credits are not allowed, we will issue a refund for the item.
Order Cancellation or Modification
Because we process orders quickly, we ask that customers contact us immediately by e-mail or phone to modify or cancel an order. Cancellations, modifications or inquiries should be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or phoned in to 800-236-2611 from Monday through Friday 8:30 AM through 5:00 PM Central Time. We will do our best to assist you. Please note that when packages are refused, UPS imposes a return fee which may be deducted from your refund.
Order Confirmation and Tracking
You will receive an e-mailed confirmation of your online order immediately after your order is placed. If you provided an e-mail address with your online, phone, fax or mail order, you will receive an e-mail when your order is shipped which will provide you with a UPS tracking number. Please be sure to add email@example.com to your safe senders list so that your confirmations are not considered SPAM or junk mail. You can track your order after it has been shipped by clicking the "Order Tracking" button at the top of every page. Proceed by entering the JLMORDER number and the zip code the package is being delivered to in the appropriate boxes, then clicking the "Track this package" button. Click here to track a package.
Please note that although every effort has been made to provide the most accurate and up to date information in our product descriptions, manufactures occasionally modify the packaging or specifications of an item without notice. We will do our best to update our website, notify our facilities and inform our customers when changes occur. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
Accepted Forms of Payment
Please send payment in the form of a money order or cashier’s check. We also accept MasterCard and Visa for orders up to $400 by phone. We do not recommend that you send cash by mail. Orders for Wisconsin Department of Corrections facilities may also be placed online using PayPal or a credit card at www.jlmarcuswisconsin.com.
Jack L Marcus Inc. offers FREE shipping for all orders shipped to Wisconsin Department of Corrections locations. Per Wisconsin Department of Corrections regulations, orders will be shipped in bulk to some facilities. Please allow 3-5 business days for delivery to the facility.
